I am often tempted to compare Arjanbhai with Dhirubhai Ambani who literally started with a scratch but later built a vast empire ranking among the best in the world. Of course, Arjnabhai’s empire falls much short in comparison to that of Dhirubhai’s, but the degree of enterprise in pursuit for excellence exhibited by Arjanbhai equals that of the latter.

Arjanbhai is a not a Yogi or an Ascetic in the sense these terms are commonly understood and interpreted. He is not a sadhak nor has he turned a recluse or a run-away from active grihastha life as in the vanprasatha Ashram. He is a down-to-earth person, deeply attached to the soil he tills. And yet he is a dreamer. Even as he walks among his fields smelling the fragrance of crops around, he looks beyond the horizon and dreams of a time when the world would turn into a better place to live in. He dreams of a time when the youth will fruitfully engage themselves in constructive work to turn the society prosperous and happy.

The Rishis and Seers of the old were all visionaries who not only saw how the world would transform itself thousands of years later but also contributed to guiding people the right way. Arjanbhai is no Rishi or Seer in that sense. But he is not myopic either. His vision does not protrude beyond the stars. But, as Vinoba Bhave had said, every planner must plan for things at least twenty five years beyond his nose. Arjanbhai is a planner and a visionary in that sense. His concerned is to educate and train the present generation of youth in such a way that they get equipped to face the challenges of life against all odds and steer their way through them.

Arjanbhai is highly sensitive to environment around him. He has the rare faculty to smell life in mute things around him, and when he senses such a vibration in insensate things around him, he tries to instil life into them and make them vibrant. He arranges them in such an order and gives them such a shape and look that they almost converse with you in whispers as you pass through them. There is a little Michelangelo in Arjnabhai when he pours life into dead stones around him.

I have great admiration for Arjanbhai’s sense of precision, exactitude and his flair for judging people for their calibre. In his very first encounter with strangers, he can judge people for their worth. No one can duke him nor can anyone exercise any influence on him.

His other outstanding quality is his admirable courage of conviction. He is forth right, and is not much concerned if his decisions go wrong. If they do he corrects himself and strides ahead unrepentant. He dreams big even in the face of the most hostile and adverse situations. It requires a true grit to get going like this. No ordinary mortals can perform feats like this.

Another quality of Arjanbhai that has struck me the most is his adherence to truth. A person of his status may often need him to compromise with truth and tell a lie here or there. Not Arjanbhai. He is not only incorruptible himself; he does not relish any one twisting the truth to shoot his interest. If it comes to telling someone that he is wrong, he tells him so bluntly, but, of course, in his own inimitable manner.

Arjanbhai is a seer and visionary alright, but his feet are always stuck to the solid soil he stands on. His legs are firmly rooted to the ground. He is never oblivious of his roots and his always conscious of his loyalties to the clay he belongs to. It this sense of his attachment to his family and the roots he has sprung from that has motivated him to set up schools and other benevolent organizations for his community. This is his way of demonstrating gratitude to the community that has nursed him.

As the saying goes a leader is one who keeps moving ahead in the sands of time, leaving foot prints behind so his folk may follow him. It is not that he does not look back to see whether his folk are close are following him. He makes sure that they are there. in case someone among the folk lags behind or totters or some physical reason, the leader steps back to help him to walk along. Arjnabhai is such a leader. Even as he walks along the untrodden paths, he takes along his friends and companions with him. Some of whom still constitute his inner circle. On occasions of social mirth he mixes with them freely, does the Ras Garbha dance and dons typical Ahir attire on social and religious occasions.

Arjanbhai draws his spiritual strength from his Guru Rev. Bhaishree Rameshbhai Oza, the founder of the Sandipani Ashram at Porbandar. He seeks his blessings on every drive he launches, and the success he receives on this drives strengthens his beliefs in Rev. Bhaishree’s teachings. The Bhaishree is a learned and erudite scholar of the Gita and ranks among the foremost saints of India. Arjanbhai has imbibed his teachings in truest sense. He is a Vaishnavite in the most liberal sense, encompassing love for all living creatures on the earth.

History is created by people who accept challenges and forge their way ahead. Arjanbhai is one such path-finder struggling his way against all odds. He is an icon in the truest sense of the term for generations of youth engaged in building a future for them.

Imparted training to Doctors, Health workers, H1 & H2 employees, awareness camping at villages for maintenance of hygiene and sanitation ,boosting production of milk through supply of good quality of fodder and other animal feed, savings and investing strategies, career guidance to youth.
